Cyber Scholarship Program (CySP)

The Cyber Scholarship Program (CySP) is a yearly awarded Department of Defense-sponsored scholarship/fellowship program to promote the education, recruitment, and retention of rising junior and senior undergraduate, MS, MPS, or PhD student status in CMSC, CYBR, or related field at UMBC (including IS, Math, EE, CE).

Pending final approval, this highly selective program allows up to six students per year full-ride scholarships to UMBC.

CySP Application Process

Applications are due noon on February 15, 2020, for possible CySP scholarships Spring 2020.

CySP Eligibility Requirements (selected):

  1. Junior, senior, MS, MPS, or Ph.D. student status in CMSC or related field at UMBC (including IS, math, EE, CE)
  2. USA citizen 18 years or older
  3. Willingness to obtain the TOP SECRET security clearance. The selection process will include an intrusive polygraph examination and an agreement to work for the DoD. Full Requirments
